  1. I hope so too Gary. Mainly I hope Rusty will go to a good home. This is what I saw on Hagerty's: Current Values #1 Concourse $46,400 Condition #1 vehicles are the best in the world. The visual image is of the best vehicle, in the right colors, driving onto the lawn at the finest concourse. Perfectly clean, the vehicle has been groomed down to the tire treads. Painted and chromed surfaces are mirror-like. Dust and dirt are banned, and materials used are correct and superbly fitted. The one word description for #1 vehicles is "concourse." #2 Excellent $29,800 #3 Good $16,100 #4 Fair $7,700

  4. Thanks for the well wishes guys. It really pains me to part with this truck. In a perfect world I could hang onto Rusty but apparently it's not to be. Please spread the word as I would really prefer someone who is going to care for Rusty to buy him.
  5. So it looks like we are slated to move as my wife is taking a job opportunity she can't pass by. Because of this I'm not going to have room for Rusty. I'd really prefer if Rusty stayed in the family here with another Bullnose Enthusiast. This was a hard decision to make but one that has to be made. If you're not familiar with Rusty's story, Gary has quite a bit posted over at FTE as well as here. My brief time with Rusty has been documented here on the Return of Rusty thread. I don't have a firm number in mind as far as pricing but all serious offers will be considered. For the moment we are still located in Glen Rose, TX.
  6. Rusty has been behaving well and lured me into a false sense of security. Checking fluid levels I noticed the front differential was low this morning. I added some fresh gear oil until it was spilling out the service port on the front and reinstalled the plug. In the time it took me to get a fresh rag oil was pooling underneath the differential. Low and behold I have a driver side axle seal just pouring gear oil. Very frustrating. I'd say it took half a quart of gear oil to fill up the diff.
  7. Rusty's new shoes! Didn't realize how hard and loud the old Coopers were until I drove with the new Cooper Evolution M/T tires. Looked down at the speedo and was doing 75! Whoa boy! Stayed with 31x10.5R15. Quieter and much smoother than the old rubber.
  8. I liked those Coopers pretty well and the road noise didn't really bother me. I'm sticking with the 31x10.5R15 size and going with another aggressive looking Cooper.
  9. Hey fellas, it's been a bit since I posted about Rusty. Well he's been putting in work around the house and my local area with no issues until today. The old Cooper 31x10.5R15s he's been wearing finally failed on me. I was pulling my small trailer to make a drop off at the local dump and my left rear tire shucked the tread like a big ear of corn 🌽. I was able to pull over safely but not without giving the guy behind me a show. Looks like the tread took out the splash guard as well and knocked my bedside moldings loose. I didn't see any other damage of note. So tomorrow I have new tires going on as well as an order to LMC for the splash guard damage. I had been planning to replace the tires prior to deer season but necessity now dictates new rubber.
  10. I've found the oil seal and have it coming. Looking at the shop manual I see in the breakdown there is a "sealing washer". Gary do you have a part # for this washer out of the MPC? With nomenclature like sealing washer I'm assuming I'll need to replace it. Also, what's your recommendation for RTV? I see they are calling for D6AZ-19562-A on other parts of the T-Case but can't find the callout for the yoke. Side note: Torque Spec for the mount nut is 90-130 ft lbs.
  11. That's no bueno. Does the fixed yoke on the rear of the transfer case just slip out or will I need a puller or slide hammer setup to remove?
  12. Thinking the TIMKEN 4333N is the correct seal.
