  1. Thanks - I need the fusebox wire harness according to my mechanic. If the truck is 4X4; does it need a fusebox wire harness from another 4X4? Same question on carbureated vs fuel injected. Thanks!
  2. I'm hoping for some help here - I have a 1986 F150 that needs a new fusebox wire harness. The truck has automatic windows, doors, AC, auto transmission & 4X4, and it's carbureted. Of these features; what is needed when looking for a replacement wire harness? I've spent alot of time looking for a truck with the exact same as I've listed, and can't find it. I don't want to get into splicing wires; my mechanic has let me know that the labor associated would be more expensive than just finding the part. Same with the after market parts; they require lots of pigtailing. I'm not undermining my mechanic; just want to make sure we're on the right path and there aren't any other cost effective alternatives. Thanks in advance for the help.
  3. Thanks for this salan7. Honestly I'm not doing the work, my mechanic is; and while he agrees this would work, the labor would end up costing me!
  4. Thanks for the guidance; I appreciate the help. I had an electrical fire; basically all of the wiring behind the dash needs to be replaced. With that clarification; don't I need to find one with auto windows/doors?
  5. Glad to be here & yes sir! "American Pharaoh" is pretty popular at our Jags tailgates... anything to take attention off the on-field performance
  6. Thankful to find this forum exists - everyday it's becoming more popular but still don't have an expert around every corner. Thanks in advance and please forgive the soon to come stupid questions. I have a 1986 F150, shortbed, 4X4.
  7. I'm looking for a fuse box wire harness that will work for a 1986 f150. It needs to come from a truck that has A/C, power windows & door locks. Thanks.
