  1. Well Gary I hate to think I have lost my truck since this has been my work truck since about 1988. Jim I am sore and hurting some on my left shoulder, neck, elbow and such. I believe he went to the emergency room but don't know anything other than that. Yea I can't believe the bone headed decision he made that caused this. Mat as for the insurance I had it was just the mandatory liability. I guess I will be able to buy it back from the insurance if I want. Dave yes I did have it towed to my property and that was still $295 and that was no storage fee at all. I was finally able to get someone to get the police report for me last Friday. Got a call from his insurance today about 10:30 so I guess will see where it goes from here. Here are the pictures from when it happened. This is 4 lane highway with a middle turning lane so 5 total. Where my truck came to rest is where he was headed into to. His vehicle is facing approximately 180 degrees from the direction he was heading which was into the parking lot seen behind my truck.
  2. So this is now the condition of my 81 F100 as of Thursday evening 2/2/2023. Have not even gotten the police report as of yet so no one has been contacted as for as insurance goes yet. So me just thinking no doubt there going to total it most likely? So for some of you that have been in this situation would it be worth trying to fix or just forget it? I do not know all the extent of the damage as I just got it on my own property late yesterday evening. I have got a few pictures but most likely will not show all the hidden damage. Even if the frame is racked on the front would it be worth me doing the work to strip it down and just have it put back to spec and then me put it back together possibly if I could even get the needed parts together? Just not even sure what direction to look in at the moment. I do have more pictures that where taken when it was dropped at my property if I need to post more to maybe show some of the damage better.
  3. He defiantly destroys a lot of good vehicles that someone else would like to have.
  4. If you are at your wits end and feed up with your project no doubt this guy can help you out. https://fb.watch/ieXY88tOku/
  5. yep sure did.... https://forum.garysgaragemahal.com/Possibly-a-new-high-tp87287.html
  6. Thanks, I will check those things mentioned above when I am able. So would the solder joints on the delay board affect the low and high speeds or just the intermittent part of the system?
  7. So yesterday on the way to work it was raining like nobody's business and wouldn't you know it my wipers want to start working intermittently when on the low or high position. So I have been on the wiper troubleshooting page here but have not been able to perform any or all of the checks outlined there because of work and now when I get home its dark out and so on. I just thought I would throw out a quick what I was experiencing and see if anyone has maybe had a similar experience and maybe what is most likely the culprit. So when on low they where working just fine and just started stopping randomly at any position on the windshield and hardly ever the same position and would stay stopped from 2 or 3 seconds up to maybe a minute and would always start back working on there own. I tried this on high and also same result. The switch is a Ford delay intermittent type and wiper motor is one of O'Reilly's Lifetime .
  8. This is my original from my 81 that finally slid off the visor.
  9. Are these type Ford aluminum rims worth getting out of a pull-a-part? There where two trucks in there that have them but that could have changed by now that was this past Friday when I ran across them.
  10. And the SROD was used in 4x4 applications...it's very easy to spot because it's kind of funky looking. The trans shifter and 4x4 shifter are side by side, and the 4x4 shifter is on the RIGHT of the transmission shifter. I think they were pretty rare to begin with, and you won't see them much (if at all) after about 1982. :nabble_anim_confused:So mine is a trans code B and is the SROD. So it could be either SMOD or SROD with a code B or as Ford calls mine on the report they sent me 4-Speed Clark Manual Overdrive Transmission.
  11. If not mistaken my original size should be 215/75 R15 and running a BFGoodrich 235/70 R15 which should about a 1/4" difference.
  12. Tractor Supply and Rural King are the only places I can find pants. Im done with cars smaller than a 69 Impala. Im a truck guy from here on out. We are going to have a memorial cruise this Saturday to RibCrib in a neighboring state so thought I would take a look at there menu and happen to notice there other locations and looks like there a quite a few of them stacked up around you Gary. Looks like they must have started in OK as there are more there than any other state. Not very many seafood or BBQ places I have not eat at around my neck of the woods and have actually been by this one for other reasons but just never made it in there as of yet. Hopefully I can make the cruise Saturday and check them out. Always up for any kind of cruise and eating.
  13. Just thought I would pass this along in case someone may be interested. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1980-ford-f-350-5/
  14. Horn relay is the first thing I thought of when seeing it but have not done any research or looked in the EVTM. Should be able to find it in that someplace.
