  1. So, i got to thinking the other day, what if we had an online Bullnose builder? Like how we can go online and build and prics cars, but now, build a 7th gen Bronco or F series. Is there a way to try and do this? I think it would be cool! Just to mess with. Sorry if its off-topic!
  2. Yeah, im really not gonna be towing much, probibly an 8 foot landscaping trailer in a few years, and thats about it. The 302 seems like a more common engine, another reason i like it. I really dont think i need the torque of the 300 right now honestly. It really comes down to applications.
  3. Hey guys, i need advice, ive been looking at Bullnose's for a while, and im really split on what engine i want. The 300 is a valid option due to towing capibility, and insurance. (im 16). But, it doesnt have the classic rumble of the 302. I liked the 302 firstly because its a V8, its a little more powerful, and its a popular engine. My only concern would be insurance. Do you guys have and advice? Im really leaning towards the 300 at this point due to the reputation, but then im not gonna have the sound or muscle of the 302.
  4. Ill have a look! Right off the bat, i am not really brave enough to tear into an engine like that, i could probibly find another way to add power, open up the exaust or something! I just dont want to tear into it, take the cam out, and then not know how to put it back together. Thats great that the rumor about the forged crank is true. I also heard ford sent out a few 300s from the factory with forged internals!
  5. Intresting, ive ridden in a few rental trucks with the bench seats. Quite a wierd feeling! They do look really really comfy. Ive know a guy with a 64 F100 styleside, 6 cyl, got a ride in it one day, and that bench seat was more comfy than the bed i sleep in!
  6. Yeah, as my name suggests im hunting for a truck currently, and ive got so many questions, so thats why i joined, once I get a Bullnose, it will be official!
  7. Great to hear! It will be an interesting adjustment. Did these trucks ever have bucket seat options on a standard cab? I knew they were avaible on crew and supers though.
  8. Im sure that truck can be saved, realistically, having someone look at it might not be the worst idea. After you move that is. Moves can be busy and stressful, good luck!
  9. Wow, never driven from a sofa before! Now im worried about falling asleep its gonna be so comfy lol! Thats good they can be adjusted!
  10. Also, would check out the specs manual on your truck, Gary has wonderfully documented it. Are you looking for a tire that looks like the old ones, or a new tire? Radial or Bias Ply? Just some factors. Like.i said earler, might want to check the spec list and see what was origianlly offered to see what a good starting point is.
  11. I think a little blue smoke is normal. White usually means oil got in the combustion chamber, if you cant end up figuring out the issue, i might take it in to get checked out. Oil can be destructive if it gets in the wrong spots! Good luck. Hope i was able to help!
  12. Hey guys, so i know the truck i find will probibly have a bench seat. Im wondering if it's harder to drive with one, or, if it can be adjusted, im around 6 foot, so i dont think reaching the pedals is an issue, im just wondering how long it will take to adjust to a bench seat, and if its harder to drive with one. Thanks for all the help!
  13. Defenetly some clean cuts! I honestly might look into welding pieces back in place their if you find it is comprimising the integrety of the truck, and thats defenetly not a Swiss frame, those were 80-late 81. Maybe it was something Ford did to make sure that 460 fit. Its not exactly a small engine!
