  1. I am replacing the dizzy on my 82 351w eec truck. The VV carb was removed by the previous owner, it has a motorcraft 2150 now. All the eec was left. I have removed the eec and pulled the eec duraspark system and wire harness and am replacing it with a ds2, and a standard vacuum advance dizzy, my issue is I seem to be missing a couple of wires, the painless wiring kit calls for a brown wire to the starter solenoid, I don't have one, looking at the wiring diagram I show have it, along with a red/green from the alternator regulator but my regulator doesn't have the "I" exciter wire either. Is this normal? I assume I will just run the brown to the solenoid and go from there.
  2. I acquired my 82 bullnose about 10 years ago for my son and I to work on, let him learn how to work on stuff. He drove it for a few years but it was never right and we only fixed what needed to be fixed. It has now sat for 5 years and I want to make it run right. I've been following the forum for a bit now and learned a lot about this old truck.
