  1. Does anyone here have any pictures of their styleside bullnose fitted with a brick nose tailgate? Or maybe a 6th gen tailgate?
  2. I’ve had my truck since June, and I can’t get it registered because it won’t pass emissions currently. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. The threshold here for gas leaving the exhaust at idle is 800 PPM. Mine is currently throwing 1,830 PPM. I checked the timing on the truck and it was somewhere around 30° advanced. We set it back to TDC, advanced it to 6° because our elevation here is 6100 ft, and readjusted the throttle screw on the carb. It idles good, but it diesels when I shut it off. It has no power when you step on it, and the truck tries to die on me coming into second gear. It’s a 1985 Ford F-250 4x4 with the 460 motor. I can’t find any diagrams on the carb that’s on it, it’s a Holley manufactured for Motorcraft carb. Can’t find the air mixture screws or where to even set it from here. Any help would be INCREDIBLE. The numbers on the carb are 50004-1 E3TE-5910-PO.
  3. I'm Austin, I'm a new member here. I joined for the information and community for my newly acquired truck. It's a red 1985 F-250 XLT Lariat, 460, 4x4 with the T-19 transmission, LWB Regular cab and A LOT of chrome trim. The interior is also red (a lot of red, I know), and it has 86,000 original miles. It's all stock as far as I can tell. There's a few rust spots but nothing that can't be fixed. It's in good shape, but I want to shape it to fit what I want it to be. I've always wanted one but never dared to face the project due to my limited knowledge in the mechanics world, but after some long conversations with myself, I've decided I want to tackle to project. I learned how to be an electrician, I can learn how turn wrenches on an old carbureted vehicle too haha. You only live once, may was well spend it doing what you want to do! I look forward to learning from y'all!
  4. Hello everyone, I'm a new member here, and I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but I'm having trouble finding information on a zf-5 (or anything of the likes) swap, specifically a parts list and a list of possible modifications that need to be done to fit both the transmission, transfer case, and the drive shaft and whatever else needs to be done. My truck is a 1985 Ford F-250 XLT Lariat 4x4 with the 7.5L engine and T-19 transmission. I've searched youtube to no avail, for the 4x4 at least. I've surfed all sorts of forums and still, not much information to go off of. If this question has already been answered, please direct me to the thread with the answers, maybe save me the time from scrolling through 101 pages of the same question lol. It seems like these trucks haven't picked up in popularity like the 70's era quite yet due to the lack of information out there for the variety this truck came in during it's time. But that's perfectly fine with me, it's my favorite truck and as long as things stay cheap, I'm happy! I'd just really like to have an Overdrive option for this old girl!
