  1. What about the wide of the rails. I just didn't know if they changed the width of the rails to 1.500 wide on later years 83/86? That is 5/32 diff. compared to mine. Do you think there is a market for the older wider ones. I'm thinking probably not. Thanks for any input.
  2. I knew 80/81 were diff. in Quantity of rails and they had a diff. type of wood. I just didnt know they changed the width of the rail. So are the after market rails 1.50 wide the correct size for the later years 83/86. The hardwear in my bed is all metric. When they changed the wood and rail Quantity I wonder if the hardwear changed to SAE?? Thanks
  3. Yes thanks, I'm not familiar with the site. I'm curious about the documentation site, there is a diagram of the wood for after 7/82 is 1.625. So did ford make 2 dif. widths of rails since mine are 1.650 wide? Thanks Clayton
  4. Hello all I need some floor rails for my 80 f150 flareside. I have 6 but they are rusted. I measured my good end and they are 1.650"/42mm wide and about 78.545/1995mm. Does anybody remanufacture these besides Mar-k. I called them and they said theirs are 1.500 wide. Also is the 80 and 81 rails different from the 82-87, not in quantity but in shape. Mar-k may have to do. Does anyone know? Thanks for any info.
  5. As far as the carriage bolt and welder, what are we welding, the bolt to the large washers?
  6. No my truck had no headliner, slots are across the front wind shield and thats it. Are the slots around the rear window also for the trim. I assume screws hold the rear corner trim up around the seatbelts. Thanks
  7. Afternoon gang, old yeller here, hope everything is well. Not sure who can answer this, but i,m considering installing a head liner in my 80 f150 custom. living in tx that metal roof gets pretty hot in the summer. i was needing to know what is the latest year model I could use that would fit properly 87, 92, 95,? Also where is the best place to buy replacement parts other than a junk yard. Rubber mounts, bushings, and so on. I bought a throttle cable and it is about 2 1/8 longer, yes it was the one all the internet parts stores recommended. Its 23.00 long and the original is 20 7/8 long. I looked on this site for specs I just could not find any. I' sure i can play with it some more to get it right. I also need the 8 large bolts, 12mm x 133mm oval head, 7/16 x 5.25 is about the same size, just have to look some more. also got my sliding rear window out, does anyone know where to get any parts for that. there are 2 pc's of plastic separating the outer glass from the inner glass to keep out water. i'll probably need to replace the whole thing. Here again what would be the latest model if I find one in a junkyard. Thanks for any and all info. Clayton
  8. satans7, nice truck Do you have leveling kit on the front, the front looks level or abit higher than the rear. Mine's not quite like that. Thanks for the photo .
  9. Has any one put 33x12.50x15 on a stock f150. My truch sets up on its own right now, it has heavy duty suspention from the factory. came with quad shocks up front and heavy duty springs up front. I'm running 32x11.5x15 with no problems right now. only considering it because they are almost new for $500. clayton
  10. Oh I forgot my 86 302 efi has 2 lines to the tank, one sucks out to the injecters and a return for excess to go back to the tank. A low pressure in the tank, and a high pressure along the frame rail under the cab. clayton
  11. Sorry for your problem. So I checked out my valve. I have a new valve and tank and the bed is not on it. I blowed in and sucked out with the rubber hose at the tank valve. air moves both directions. So I disassembled the old one, looking inside there is a tiny hole in the top, a float with a point on it and a spring for support. setting the float on the spring on my desk the spring will not support the float up. this works like a carburetor float and valve, if the gas gets too high the float rises to shut off to keep gas from leaking. Checking other areas is a good idea. I did notice the dents protruding out on your tank, were they there when you bought it. Good luck Clayton
  12. Evening Everone. Hope we are having a great weekend. Has anyone tried fixing a lower dash crack or do you have to find a replacement. My interior is sand/tan, but I found a blue one, not sure how it will look after painting. Any suggestions on fixing the crack, super glue, somthing similar to fiberglass patch on the inside? Thank for any suggestions, Clayton
  13. Morning Jonathan do you still have the rear fenders? Clayton old yeller
  14. OK, neither have electric windows or locks. Thanks
  15. Hello everone, Hope y'all are having a good evening. I have one simple question. I am about to buy a 85 f250 custom as a donor for my 80 f150 custom. To me they look alike and i am assuming all the cab parts ( sheet metal)are interchangable. I need the Doors, I know the inner door locks are different, and i plan on using fenders, hood, complete grill. Basically the front clip. Am I correct or am I wrong. Any input is well come. Thanks Clayton
