But, before you head to the bank let me explain what that means to you - absolutely nothing.  

Seriously though, last night's spam attack made me re-think the process of joining the Bullnose Forum.  Heretofore a computer/robot could join and start spamming us.  That's because it would be easy for a robot to sign up, which made it "registered", and that's all it took to start posting.  But, now there are three categories:

1. Viewer: Anybody on the internet can view posts on here

2. Registered: Any one or any thing can register.  But that just sends me an email saying they want to join.  I'll respond via email asking them to read the guidelines and reply that they have done.  Once I get their response I'll promote them to ...

3. Member: They, like you, can post and respond.

I hope this isn't to onerous for new users, but it seems to be the only way to ensure we aren't spammed.  And, if you have ANY problems with this, please let me know.

Sounds good to me. I'll be willing to bet that spammer wasn't even from the US.
