New member from NC - 1985 XLT

Forum,

Great to be here!  I am the new owner of an 85 F150 XLT RWD with a 5.0 EFI engine.

I've been looking around for months for a good example.  This one is a one owner truck and has 96,000 miles and no rust that I can find.  The bed looks like it's never been used.

Anyway on the not-so-rosy front, sitting so much has taken it's toll.  I'm in the process of replacing the brakes, shocks and tires.  It also has a rough idle that I'm also diagnosing.  I think the PO's mechanics did a number on the engine harness and I'm trying to figure all that out.  It should be a great truck once I get all the bugs worked out.

Glad to be here!!

-Shannon

Shannon - Glad you joined.

That's a really great looking truck.  I hope you get the issues sorted, easily and quickly, and get to drive it soon.  You might want to start a thread about getting it into shape in either the main section or Projects.

Where's home?  I ask because we have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and we can add you with a city/state or zip.

Greensboro!  Been there many times.  General Dynamics was a client of mine and I had staff at their site there doing their IT.

You are now on the map.
