Cool!  It is at least an '82 with the badge in the grille.  But while it has a tach, headliner, and insulation package I don't see anything that tells whether it is a base model or what.  Nor what engine.

The person that posted it said it was from a 1986 Newspaper, that's about all I know. I don't know if that price was for a base model and the rest were just options.

That's gotta be base price.  My 84 F-250HD 4X4 XLT Diesel with two tone paint cost me over 16 grand

Well, or the calculator is wrong, or the vehicles cost grown much more faster than inflation.
Don’t think possible to find a new base truck at that price today:

Jeff / 1984 F350 Crew Cab 4x4/5.8L w351 4V/ T18/ D50 4.10 front/ 8' bed.
Restored 2019-2022.
Nicknamed «Big Brother 1984», due to its soooo-looong shape & nod to George Orwell's 1984 famous novel.
