George & Nick's "Brutus"

Meet Brutus.  Nick bought him brand new back in 86, Brutus was the first truck he drove.  Not wanting to buy the first truck he saw, he test drove many.  He said nothing could compare to this truck.  Brutus was a special edition of which only 1000 were made.  He is a military truck with every known option.  You name it , it was in there all at a whopping $14,000 1986 bucks.  Brutus also had some firsts, not by Ford, but by Nick, who is an electronic designer/engineer.  Brutus had remote start, unlock and window up and down some years before it was offered and an ear splitting 3hp per channel hand built amplifier with 4, 15 inch woofers and horns behind the back seat.   Brutus got his name by a friend of Nicks.  This truck could pull and smash anything out of its way, he pulled an 80 foot yacht out of the water in first gear idling while the guys with both a Chevy and Dodge HD 2500 series big block trucks failed to pull it out.  As they sat and laughed at the 6 cylinder backing down into the water.  They stopped laughing when they didn't hear the truck strain at all as it just walked it right out of the water.  From then on, many people around town still refer to the Bullnose with an I6 as a " Brutus Truck"
We grew older and so did Brutus and so did everything else including our daily driver.  We needed a better daily driver so it began back in April we started on Brutus.  with only 212,000 miles on it, the 300 and C6 are just getting broken in.  So with a fresh tune up, new cooling system, new fuel system from tank to rebuilt yfa, new intake/exhaust manifolds, exhaust system, brakes and seals. New HVAC system, body work and paint.  He isn't quite finished yet but well on the way.
