Fuel Gauge stopped working

tanman
Where to begin troubleshooting this? I put a new tank in a month ago. Same sender. Everything was good until yesterday.

Pull the wire off the sending unit and ground it to determine if it is the sending unit. If grounding it works then the sending unit has to be bad.

Did the water temperature and oil pressure gauges stop working as well?

Re: Fuel Gauge stopped working

I had a new sender stop working after a short time.
Grounding the wire showed the gauge still worked for that tank so was not the switch.
Come to find out the float filled with fuel and sunk so no reading
I replaced it with the old one and been working for years now.
