Delta Drill Press

CRittaler
Just wanted to share with the forum my latest tool purchase.

Picked up this bench top Delta drill press this morning for $100.  Can't complain!  Spins and drills.  The quill needs some lubrication, it needs a belt, and I need to wire in a power switch, but all in all I think it will serve me well.

It appears to be all original to my eyes and someone put tape over the motor plate to protect it.  I'll be carefully removing that so that I can get a picture of it for reference.

That came from an era when true quality tools were made. I'd be inclined to restore it? Is there a cover that covers the belt?

I think there is supposed to be, but it's commonly missing.

I did figure out why the quill was dragging, turns out there's a quill lock and it was partally engaged so it was adding drag and stopping it from returning.

Thanks! I've wanted one for a while and this popped up for $100 so I jumped on it.  I haven't measured runout yet or tried drilling anything yet but I know I'll need it for work on my various project vehicles.
