'80 Front Brake Lines

Fitz24
Installed all new brake parts on the old girl from complete rear drum kits to front calipers and lines. Brakes worked like new....for a little while.

Grandson took it for a ride with his little boy who loves to ride in the old Broncos.  Got a call a while later that the brakes went out and brake fluid everywhere.  Come to find one of the front rubber lines from frame to caliper had been rubbing on tire and blew out.  Checked other side and it was rubbing as well.  Just not bad enough to rub through yet.

Ordered new lines again and found they also rubbed on the tires.  Wasn't able to find a way to install them without them rubbing.  Original lines never rubbed but new replacements did.  Same lines, little longer maybe?

Found a better alternative was to order a more expensive set (+ $22) for a '93 model Bronco.  They have a metal line from the frame that bends the line downward and forces the rubber part to loop down and back up to the caliper keeping them clear from any possible rubbing issues.  Should help with a small lift also.
