2023 Show Date, Advertising, & Calendar

Gary Lewis
Administrator
I hadn't planned to decide on the date for the 2023 show quite yet, but I got an offer to advertise both the forum as well as the show on a new calendar.  So I had to decide - Sept 16th, 2023.  That's two weeks after Labor Day weekend.

And now to the calendar.  Craig Heseman, of F100World.com, is creating a calendar for Ford trucks, and you can order one for $10 here.  I plan to order one as I can't wait to see our flyer for the show and our decal.

Remind me where you have the show? That's far enough out I might be able to figure out a way to get to it...

At the Church of Christ in Skiatook, OK.  That's roughly 20 miles north of Tulsa.

Sorry if I'm asking things already covered elsewhere but how is the show set up? Is it a 1 day thing?

That's only 10 hours for me so I could probably make it. But I have to decide how to come. Bringing Rocky would be a fun road trip and maybe I could pick some folks' brains on a detail or two. But it means coming alone so maybe we'd bring the camper and find a campground nearby instead.

Those are fair questions.  The show itself is a one day event.  But, for forum members and special guests there's a dinner the night before where we can meet each other and talk.  During the pandemic we've held it at the church building where the show is, but before that it was at our house and we always made our way out to the shop at some point.  Maybe next year we can do that?

As for coming, you could work up a caravan.  This year we had Colin Craig from Ft Lupton, and in most of the past shows we've had Chris Tubutis from Littleton.  So if we got this thing planned far enough in advance y'all might be able to drive together.  In fact, if we worked this well we could get caravans from several different areas to come in.  We just need some organization!

Concerning camping, Skiatook Lake is near by and has lots of camps sites.

Very tempting to try to make this, but I'd almost certainly not bring the truck as it's a 25 hour drive according to google.  Meeting the Gary of legend and seeing a bunch of these trucks in person would be wonderful though.
