That's what's in Darth, and MAF/SEFI 460.

Rusty, the 302 trucks went MAF/SEFI in 1994, 351 in 1995 and 460 CA spec in 1996, 300 went SEFI in 1995 CA spec. Other than 49 state 460 trucks (and not all of them) everything was pretty much MAF/SEFI by 1996. MT and C6 equipt trucks stayed Bank Fired much later than the 4R7x and E4OD models.

I did when I went to EFI from carbureted. The MAF systems Ford builds are all SEFI (Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection). One of the reasons I did, the 460s are bad about damaging #5 piston on the speed density systems. Ford went to MAF/SEFI in 1994 on the 302, 1995 on the 351 in the trucks. 460 engines, some went MAF/SEFI in California, but not all.

For truck engines, I would go 1994 or newer, the 1994 models had MAF/SEFI on automatics and roller cams on all.

You are also trying to run what amounts to a 1996 engine built for MAF/SEFI and computer controlled spark advance with a 1958 carburetor and 1970s ignition.

Here is what a slipped balancer looks like: This was in 2011 when I was converting the truck to MAF/SEFI

Ok, so that is a throttle body system, not a port or sequential system? Sounds interesting, if I hadn't already gone EEC-V MAF/SEFI on my 460. Do you know if it will integrate with a transmission control system?

There are also the early MCU and EEC-III systems included. I included up through the 1996 EEC-V systems on the 7.5L as those are the only MAF/SEFI systems for that engine. The 4.9L, 5.0L and 5.8L had MAF/SEFI by 1994 and 1995 so someone putting a later engine or EFI system in a Bullnose will be able to see what changes were made and what may be needed.

E4OD For Dad’s Truck   (Re: E4OD For Dad's Truck)
He is probably suggesting the F250 as the E4OD is more common on the heavier trucks and would be easier to find that way. I already told Gary I have 3 spare 351 w/E4OD EECs (and one actual 460 MAF/SEFI/E4OD one).

On the 1986 system, the 6 port valve does not have a "default" position, it stays where it was set until it receives power through the tank selector switch. I may even still have the switch from Darth since he is now MAF/SEFI and is using the 1990 pump system and 1996 gauges.

I hope they don't shut Core Tuning down, that will leave a lot of us just slightly screwed. I would not want to go back to an EEC-IV as there was no MAF/SEFI 460 built with an EEC-IV.

Trucks changed in 1994 from 15426378 to 13726548 as long as you (a) run the wires correctly and (b) if you go to MAF/SEFI have the correct injector firing order, no problems. If you stick with Speed Density Bank Fired, it doesn't matter on the injectors.
