looking for a tailgate for my 85.  ebay and amazon all out of stock. any suggestions?  not looking for original. thanks
Joe from NJ. 1985 F150 shortbed with 4.9 and its a stick. Put some Black FR500's on it. 17X9 upfront and 17X10.5 in the back.

You don't really want aftermarket Joe.

They're just tinfoil. Ask me how I know!

Lil'Red is a '87 F250 HD, 4.10's, 1356 4x4, Zf-5, 3G, PMGR, Saginaw PS, desmogged with a Holley 80508 and Performer intake.
Too much other stuff to mention.

X2 what Jim said. Stay away from aftermarket ones. I have heard nothing but bad things about them being a waste of money and a disappointment. There were some reproductions with the embossed letters that were decent quality but were quite expensive and don’t appear to be available any more. Hold out for a decent used copy... this one is priced too high considering the dent and holes from the missing trim panel, but they are around...

It was, Jim... and I believe National Parts Depot listed them as well, but neither seem to have any 80-86 tailgates for stylesides now.
