c6 rebuild cost

What should a R&R C6 rebuild cost? Iwas quoted 2000.00?

Yikes. Is that with taking them the vehicle and letting them take the trans out? Or with you pulling it and bringing it to them, then you putting it back in?

I discussed this with my mechanic recently and he said if I bring in the trans, then $1200 will buy a really quality rebuild on it.

So that leaves $800 for them to pull it out and put it back in. I'd say a competent mechanic could do that on a 2wd Bullnose in about 2 hours. So assuming the mechanic charged $100/hr, that's still only $1400.

I'd ask around for other prices. $2k does sound steep.

You can buy a reman c6 from the parts store for abt 1200

My carry-in 4wd c6 rebuild was around $750.
