Tilt steering not locking in place

BeagleRock
This morning I took my truck to work and got the you know what scared out of me. As I was going through this S turn suddenly my steering wheel dropped to its lowest position,I quickly raised it back to the normal position for my liking. It seems as though it will only lock in the very highest position but nothing in between as only little pressure is needed to move it all the up or all the was down. I need some experts help on this or at least an exploded diagram.
 Thanks Gang

Thanks Gary! Yes it came down and darn near rested on my legs which would've made steering difficult.
