The same guy also converts the stock 80-86 amp meter to read volts;)

My gauges seem to work pretty well, but I have the links saved in case I need their services later on;).

Nice find David! It is costly, but I am happy to see that it is available nonetheless. With a lot of the old “closed” tachs getting sticky and breaking down, having a place that can update the internals is good news! 🙂

That said, I have a couple of closed units that passed my freezer test (needle did not stick) that I want to use to fix our 4,000 rpm tachs. If that is not successful for some reason, perhaps this guy could update the internals?

I will definitely be ordering the volt meter conversion on account of the 3G swap in my diesel. I have heard good things about this product.
SHORT BED 4-DOOR DIESEL: 1986 F350 4x4 under construction-- 7.3 IDIT ZF5+GVOD

STRAIGHT SIX 4X4: 1981 F150 2wd to 4x4-- 300 I6 close ratio diesel T19, hydroboost brakes, Saginaw steering

BIG F: 1995 F-Superduty under construction— converting to 6.9L IDI diesel ZF5+DNE2

There is a 4000 RPM tach attached to your distributor, Jonathan.

Could you tell me more about your freezer test?
