Straight Six TFI to DUI - Uh oh…

tanman
Hi everyone!

I pulled my TFI distributor and was test fitting my DUI distributor and it doesn’t fit! Wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

Also, what is the long metal shaft that extends below the gear on my original?

Gonna reach out to Davis tomorrow. The cylinder wiggles about a quarter of the way and no further. I’m a little sad honestly.

Pilot error! Went back 10 minutes later. Rubbed motor oil on everything and she slipped right in!

That would be the oil pump drive shaft stuck in the bottom of your distributor.

(Stealth edit).

Yep. Better move that over... unless you want no pressure and a kerploded engine!

It will take some tugging but it will come out...

I’m glad I asked. I will move it over to the new distributor
