Smokenchoken

Smokenchoken
Hey guys it is I, the glorious Smokenchoken in all my annoying overall wearing goodness... update on projects some might know and others might enjoy sadly no Bullnoses but the 7deuce is alive and well and just became my DD again for reasons I'll explain later... 7deuce is my 72 Ranger xlt long bed black and chrome 390 10 to 1 compression C6ae-r heads ported and polished with oversize valves and hardened valve seats with edelbrock performer intake ported to match, C6, 2.75 gears and 35s... Last week I finished Red Dawg my 78 Ranger longbed  from her crazy upgrade, the 400 ish hp 460 is out and mothballed away forfuture use and in its place a 429 that dyno'd at 647 hp when it was built, C6, 2.75 gears and a set of 28x15x15w MT Slicks that I have yet to set my times with but it's quite quick ;) ...  and then my most recent addition to my stable a 93 ranger shortbed with a 67 352 FE and a 65 3 speed toploader and currently trying a 205 divorced transfer case reversed as an overdrive unit along with the 8.8 with 4.10s it gives it the equivalent of 2.09 gears and with its 295-50-15s it gives a nice 1700 rpm for 65mph... much left to be finished but that's how projects go... the 352 used to get 16+ mpg Religiously in a 67 F100 with a c6 3.00 gears and 33s so my first goal is 20 mpg and I think the 1000 lb loss and increased factory aerodynamics alone will get it close if my gears work out as planned
72 Ranger xlt built 390
78 Ranger crazy 429
93 Ranger 352 aiming for MPG
Yes I'm crazy, but a fun CrAzY

Welcome, Eli!  We will take you in spite of the lack of "proper" trucks.  To answer your question about Dad's truck I recommend the following reading:
