Pre-Bullnose 1979 Ranger Electric, stay away?

Starliner
This post was updated on .
My neighbor just told me his brother in law has a 79 Ranger electric which might be a giveaway.
Is this a real thing or am I being punked?
I have never heard of one before.
Probably 4 hours from me. No pictures.
Do any of you know about these?

Thanks

Unless it's a conversion, it's not a real thing.

The only "Ranger Electric" Ford made was around 1999 or so on the small Rangers and it was only for a couple of years.

That makes more sense.
He definitely said 79, but no question when he said Ranger he was not talking big truck.
Good, I have enough projects.

Is this thing listed for sale somewhere? I remember seeing a for sale add the other day for a Ford truck that had been converted to electric...but I can't remember where I saw it. Either CL or FB Marketplace. I seem to recall that it was blue, but I didn't pay much attention to it and kept scrolling.
