Phil Collins, the 2WD 1986 XLT Lariat

Here's my '86 F150. Got him last July and slowly replacing things. Not sure whether I should clear coat over that lovely patina or have him repainted.

I like the color combo and I am for shiny and not that patina but that's me.

No, it's the factory Lariat hood ornament.

I'm pretty sure the XLT Lariat didn't come with a hood ornament. You can see what they came with in the shot from the 1986 brochure, below.

But there was a hood ornament available from the dealers. Here's the listing in the Master Parts Catalog. Does yours match the description of a Ford crest w/3 lions & a wreath?
