Hi everyone,

Thanks for the add!

I'm a 40-something dad based in South Florida, but originally from Sydney, Australia.

Lot's of knowledge building houses and boats, but not much on F150's, which is why I am here.

My 1985 F150 is an original-paint, Alabama truck powered by a 351W HO. Love the truck - my Dad had a bullnose Bronco growing up and while I loved that truck, I needed something a little more practical that will tow my boat here and there - which led me to the truck I have now.

It's a stock truck but I've added a 4" lift, a Class V Curt hitch and some beefier rims/tires. A/C is not working, but I have all new parts 90% installed and are just trying to find a local mechanic to help with some go-fast engine goodies before I add on the accessories.

Welcome!

From Australia, huh.  Gonna have Darin/Oz Econoline and his wife, Anita, at my house for the show in a month.  And they are from Sydney as well, which you can see on the Member's Map.  (I can add you to the map as well if you'll just give me a town.)

As for knowledge, we have a fair bit on Bullnose trucks, and some of us do on houses and boats.  I've not built boats, but I've done about everything imaginable on them, and Jim/ArdWrknTrk works on them as well.

On your truck, how 'bout starting a thread about it and including some pics?

Sure!  May not get any answers, but Bill tells us about his Chizzler, so why not a boat?  😉

Hi Gary,

Yes, will do!

I have a lot of things planned for it and just need the time to get things moving.

I'll document as much of that as I can and will upload!

Thanks! The truck has some heavy patina on the hood - which I really like - but it's very time consuming to upkeep here in FL due to the amount of rain we've been getting. I actually tried some "patina preserver" from Eastwood, but didn't like how it came out after it was applied, so I'll probably go back to just putting on lots of wax and reapplying every few weeks.
