Name that part

Rembrant
Hi Folks,

Local seller has some 80-86 Ford truck parts listed online for sale, and one of the pictures shows a pile of these things. He mentions in the ad that he has some "mirror brackets for inside the doors".?

What are they?

1984 F150 4X2 Flareside. Mild 302 w/ 5spd. Sold.
1980 F150 4X4 Flareside. 300i6 w/ 5spd. Sold in 2021.
1980 F100 4X2 Flareside. 351w/2bbl w/NP435. Sold in 1995

I don't think I need any of it, but the ad caught my eye, and I was curious what those items were.

He may have some other items if you click on his other ads.

Yes, they are installed inside the doors to brace the western swing-aways.
Top hole are for the top mounts of the mirrors.
Middle holes are for the lower mounts of the aluminum arms, the bottom threads stick out of the holes in the bottom of the doors.

Now, there are two sizes of these braces, longer ones are for F-series. shorter are for Ranger.
Easy to tell if you have a mirror, measure the top to middle holes, they will line up with F-series or Ranger...
