There was a post think over on FTE of a member getting the LMC doors.
I think he had issues with one having a little surface rust inside the door and think he got a replacement.
Other than that I dont remember much other than that
May want to check if he said anything else.

While we are on the subject of doors and mirrors, I bought the LMC door mirror for my drivers door. What a piece of GARBAGE. You have to adjust it EVERYTIME you close the door. DONT BUY LMC MIRRORS....FIND A NICE FACTORY ONE!!!!

You are about 2 years to late as I have them sitting in a box ready to go on after paint.

I just fired the old girl up. Holy smokes even after sitting for 8 months or so it didn't take much to start it. New fuel tank, lines, and pump. I threw a couple gallons in it, cranked her over a little bit, and it started and idled just like normal. Feels good to hear the old girl run again.

If not LMC, where else would one look at ordering a door shell from? I'm hoping that I only need the driver's side, but I may need both.
National Parts Depot, but I can't speak for shipping since their main warehouse is a 20 minute drive for me.

Everything I've bought from them has been quality, but I haven't picked up any sheet metal from them.

Ray,

I took a video just so you could hear the little 302.

Please excuse the partial assembly (disassembly?), multi-colored panels, body-filled cab corners, layers of dust, and mismatched wheels...lol.

I think the iPhone mic picked up more engine noise than it did exhaust sound, but whatever. First time running and out of the garage under it's own power since last fall.

And here is a video under the hood from spring 2018 when I had just installed the freshly built 302.

Corey! That is a FINE LOOKER! You are going to be so proud when finished! Thanks for the inspiration! Mine has a long way to go to get to that point.

Ha! Thanks Ray...it's really still in the "Beater with a heater" category, but I'm dying to drive it again! Rolling down the driveway and back to the garage doesn't give one the "fix" he needs...lol.

I finally filled the thing with brake fluid yesterday, and I didn't do as good a job as I thought I had...lol. I had several leaks. I was able to fix them just by tightening the fittings, but I have one small nagging leak right at the master cylinder that is going to need a new flare or a new line, whatever. I HATE working on brake lines...lol.

I installed a later 90's master cylinder (plastic one) as recommended by Steve83, so at least the darn thing wont rust on me. The wiring that used to go to the proportioning valve now goes to the low level switch on the master, and that is working fine.

I'm going to tighten down the bed bolts this morning and I might even take it for a drive.

The cab still needs paint, but thats coming, soon-ish...

I got enough bolts in the old thing to take it for a spin up the road. Man, that sloppy steering never felt so good!

Looking good
Does the cab need a good cleaning or ? as it looks to be a different color from the bed and yes I know you will get to it.

That is 1 reason why I hope I have enough red for the bed & cab. The girl mixing it had a hard time finding the mix codes in the system and using the spec paper I gave her from the last 2 qt's I got it did not match?
When she called be behind the counter to show me to issue she then found it. I dont know if it is right or not for the truck as long as color matches what I have sprayed already and is all 1 color on the outside and it should if I have enough.

BTW I like the black wheels better over the chrome but you know what they say?
It's your truck build it like YOU want.
Now go drive it.

The black wheels are still on the other side of the truck...lol. I'm not 100% sold on the new chrome wheels yet. I like them, but they might be too blingy...I don't know yet. Jury is still out.

The cab still has not been painted, so it's still the old chalky and faded blue. Hopefully get that done by the end of July. I'm just trying to get it finished enough so that I can drive it to the body shop...lol.

Ok the chalky is what makes it look lighter shade of blue.

The black wheels I think make it look racier like NASCAR truck wheels or road race wheels.
It could also be they are different? Seams everyone has chrome wheels on their car or truck.

At least yours is on the road (some what) mine can only go just outside the garage

Below is how one holds flat headed carriage bolts in place long enough to get the passenger rear fender mounted!

So I finally got the passenger fender and step mounted, then wired in the new tail lights and took this baby for a spin! I don't care how many different colors it is...lol, it's running great and it feels great!

I just drove around for an hour or so, maybe put 50 miles on the old truck, and I had a couple people compliment the truck, and a couple others in traffic honked their horns and gave me a thumbs up! Even a young guy working the cash at the gas station commented and said that he loved the "old stepsides"!

I hear ya Ray. Mine hasn't really been out in the sunlight since last fall, so it sure was nice to get it out for a decent drive. The cab is still covered in a layer of dust, and I have a bunch of little jobs to do on it, but nothing serious at the moment. I going to take it to work on Monday so I can talk to the shop about getting the cab done.

Besides finishing the paint, I have a bunch of other little jobs waiting to be done. I still have to adjust the drum brakes a bit and I might still have a minor leak at the master cylinder. The system still needs to be bled again too. Needs an oil and filter change, and I need to check/adjust the front wheel bearings. I have a new RedHead steering gear and new (90's) steering shaft to install. Front sway bar is waiting to go on. Still needs a radio, and I have a delay wiper module to install...the list goes on and on and on.

If I pull the trigger on Monday to get the cab done (in approximately two weeks) I have a growing list of bits I'm going to need from LMC.
