Mirror Ball Swivels

Joeseiyu
Hello! This will be my second time posting I believe, and I've found this website very helpful many times.
I've got a 1986 F350 crewcab, and i got some "type 8" mirrors for it. The hardware is all rusted
of course.
They have smaller round blindspot mirrors that hang below the main rectangle mirror. Those small round ones sit on those little metal ball pivot swivel things, and mine so happen to be very rusty and one even broke.
So I've come to the masses to hopefully find where I might buy/replace the buggers!
Included a few pictures so you guys can see what exactly I'm talking about, thanks!

I believe the smaller round swivel mirrors are an add-on to the Type 8 mirrors. See if something like this might work?

David's findings look like a winner to me. Worst case if the new mirror isn't any good you might be able to harvest the ball and put it in yours.

It's not unusual for the ball swivels on the Type 9 mirrors to get rusty or green although I haven't personally had any snap off. Going just off of your photo it appears the swivels may be the same so if by chance you had a local jy and you were attached to the mirrors you have you could do some surgery on a Type 9 and see if they are a match.

Also, just for future reference - if you click the 'Insert Image' button it will show your images inline vs opening a new window.

Agreed, I think that's what I'll do. And yeah, I may be able to harvest the swivel from the new ones if the mirrors themselves are lame.
And thank you, good tip!
