Lift pump

paul j
I have an 86 f150 4x4 5.0 first year fuel infected long bed. But I'd like to know what is the best option for the frame rail mounted fuel pump? As I've replaced it 3 times 2 bosch & 1 oem ford pump which lasted 1year. Is there something better or do I have other things going on here? Is it possible that the fuel pump relay is bad?

Thanks in advance to everyone for your help
Paul.

Are your in-tank pumps or pump if it is a single tank good? Have you checked/changed the filter in the tank selector/reservoir?

I have the same truck, and I'm on pump #3 in as many years, and it's starting to get noisy. I think it's just a quality issue of parts available for our old trucks.
