Hello from a new member in the UK👍

Blacktop
Hi, I'm Alan.
I'm from the UK and last year had a 1984 F150 imported from Florida ( although the truck spent most of its life in Texas).
It's an XLT short bed 4x4 with 4 speed manual and 351w 2 barrel carb. Overall, its in excellent condition. Planning on a 4 barrel carb and intake conversion at some point and a dual exhaust too.
Looking forward to F150 ownership and being a member on here. The bullnose bible is excellent for someone like me looking for information.

Thank you.
Alan.

Welcome!  That sounds like a really nice truck, and the pics you sent me says it has been well preserved.

We have a map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map) and I could easily add you to it if you give me a village/town/city.  (Just not an address.)

Anyway, glad you found us!

Most pics exceed the 1Mb limit for no processing, so you have to click the "Big Size" button before uploading.

And, forums like this one don't have the smarts to read the metadata in the pic and discover orientation.  So you have have to open a pic in photo editing s/w and then save it again.  The editing s/w usually corrects the orientation.

Good pics!  Cool truck.

I'd forgotten what 'Ole Blighty looks like in winter.  Reminds me of Florida.

Nice!  But, I just realized it is LHD.  How fun is that over there?

When we lived there some friends took their RHD car to the Continent.  He said when he wanted to pass he just pulled out and let his wife see if there was anything coming.

I just noticed that you have the fairly rare locking hood release.

Interior looks really nice! So many of the old Bullnoses I look at have trashed interiors, so the nice ones really stand out. Looks well cared for.

Any idea what that steering wheel is out of?

The wheel was a spare one I had from an early foxbody mustang. It had the same spline count so fitted straight on👍

Welcome to the group, you have a beautiful truck! I believe the three spoke sport steering wheel was an option on the trucks but had a slightly different center cap?

I was not aware that there even were "sport" steering wheels in the Bullnose era. I really like the look of the steering wheel in this truck. It's not that I necessarily dislike the stock wheel in my 84, but I've contemplated getting something a little nicer. I've seen Bullnoses with Bricknose wheels in them, and I don't like they way they look. This three spoke wheel looks like it belongs in the truck imho.
