Greetings from Europe, Czech Republic

Romel
Hi, my name is Jan and I hapen to bleed blue that hard, that I have imported 1986 F250 supercab 6.9 diesel from US.  It would not be possible without Jonathan F384 guy here, who was a great help sourcing parts, giving me a lot of parts and mainly storing the truck for almost a year and delivering it to LA for the shipment to Europe.

Oh wow...great story! Very cool.

Mr. F384 was very helpful for me as well and sent me a much needed rust free part from AZ. A tip of that hat to Jonathan for being so generous with his time.

Jan!  So glad you found us!!!!  Welcome!

Yes, I remember all the work you and Jonathan did on your truck. And he even mentioned you recently regarding rear brakes locking up on your truck.

I hope you’ll catch us up on what’s going on with you.  And show us pics of your truck. 👍

Hi, glad you joined here 😁

For those of you that don’t know, Jan and I have shared a really nice friendship for many years now. I have helped him where I can with the truck and he has helped me solve problems on my Jetta TDI as if hands could reach across the ocean and turn the wrench. Jan is one of the few good ones left that give some faith in humanity.

Jan - It looks like you have the truck working!    And I'll bet that Sidewinder turbo really helps that diesel.  Cool!

I got 18mpg towing the combo on the picture, I cant complain. The sidewinder with the intercooler brings it to todays standards, u can keep up to the traffic. I drive it 85mph the most when I am on the freeway, it can do 100mph but why to stress the engine.

18 MPG towing?  Wow!  That's great!

And, 85 MPH is "moving on", especially at only 2500 RPM.

The efficiency is impressive, especially if you keep the speed lower than pictured 😉. I saw 21.5 mpg out of it when I stopped for fuel at Quartzite on my way to Long Beach... and that was with over 2,000 lbs loaded in the bed. At first I thought the tank wasn’t filling correctly but nope, it was full... and my math was correct.

The intercooler pipes are just sweet. I only hope I can make mine look half that clean and I will be happy!

I get right at 1/2 that 21.5 MPG out of Big Blue w/o a load on him, and put that trailer on and it is more like 9 MPG, again about 1/2.

In other words, that 6.9L is doing a superb job!  WOW!
