About myself...

Hi Guys. I am a 62 yo retired GP living in Northern New Mexico, Santa Fe in particular. I don’t currently have a pickup, and have been eyeing the 1986 Fords with FI as a good looking and performing option here at 7200 ft elevation.  I’m most interested in a 4x4 style side short bed, not entirely wedded to any particular Powertrain or bed  type at this moment. I’d like a truck that I can be proud of but not afraid to use. It won’t be my only vehicle.
I posted on the thread regarding the BAT 86 F150 since that site is what alerted me to this forum.

Santa Fe!  Been there several times and really enjoy it.  And I think your idea of a truck with EFI is a good one, although that does limit you to the 302 in the Bullnose trucks.  But there's nothing wrong w/the 302, and an EFI'd 302 has almost as much power as a carb'd 351W, as you can see here: Engines/Windsor.

New Mexico is on my "hit list" of places I must visit! Through my work and vacationing, I've been in every US state except New Mexico and Alaska...so they're both high on my places to see!

Good luck in the Bullnose truck hunt. That brown one on BAT is a real beauty. You'll have lots of jealous followers if you land that one.
