90 Degree Oil Filter Adapter 351W?

Any cons for going with one these?

Any particular brand better than others?
Whitey: 1996 F 250 XL CCLB 4X4 7.3 DI ZF5 (The Work Horse) Lots of power mods
Whitey Jr: AKA Jr 1982 F 150 CCLB 4X4 351W C6 (Jr Work Horse) respectable power, but not over the top
The Bronco: 1987 Bronco XLT 351W C6 (needs work) Lots of off road mods and plenty of power mods
The Dodge: 2006 Ram 2500 CCSB 4X4 5.9 HO Cummins (The reliable ride that cant keep an AC in itself) (5th AC go around almost complete)

Why not use a remote oil filter?  I have one up in my attic with a label on it saying "Brandon's".

One for a non oil cooler 460 will go right on after you replace the block insert.

The piece that screws into the block and onto which the oil filter screws.  It comes out with a pair of vice grips or a pipe wrench, meaning it is ruined.

I couldnt find a place to put that in the Bronco. I am assuming it will be the same in Jr.

Reviews look good.  The only issue I see is the roughness in the passage.  I would do as I did on Dad's engine and clean the passage up to minimize restriction.  A ball hone might work, or even a drill bit or round file.

Some of them have an internal hex that a large Allen wrench will go into.

None of the engines I've worked on had the internal hex.  Would have been nice as getting one out that has been in for 35 years takes a bit of torque and the exposed threads get ruined.

Gary, you have two 460's and you don't have an adapter with internal hex?????

FWIW,  this is the same piece found on '60's 302 Mustangs (the inhex block thread adapter, not the right angle oil filter)

No longer have that computer but do recall a C8 or C9 part number.
So I'd imagine no difference in threads between the Windsor blocks.

I haven't built a 460 - yet.  So I haven't seen that adapter on a 460.  Big Blue has the air/oil cooler fitting, and Huck has the notorious water/oil cooler.

The Ford's I've built are Windsors and M-blocks and they haven't had the internal hex.
