My grandpa drove it to go get the mail. He passed when I was 15 and it became mine. It came with a straight 6 but I always wanted a big block. We ended up dropping a 429 in it and now Im just waiting to put in the wiring harness to make the neighbors mad. We ended up having to put a Ford 9in possy rear end in it. I spent most of my money on paint and body so I ended up just getting the interior panels painted. I see a ton of trucks at car shows and they all have the same 5 types of bed wood. I live down south so I decided to go against the flow I'm putting Sinker Cypress. Once it gets below 10% moisture Ill start wood finishing. As yall can see I have quite a bit left to do but It'll get there.

Eric - Welcome!  This is an interesting project.

Several things.  First, we have a member's map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu) and I'd be happy to put you on if I had a city.

Second, it helps us help you if you'll create a signature that tells a bit about yourself and your truck.  We like calling each other by name as  that makes it feel more friendly, so having "Eric" in the sig will help us do that.  And, by having info on your truck it'll help us answer the questions you ask more accurately.

And, most people introduce themselves in the New Members Start Here folder.  While that's not a requirement it helps us get to know you.

Last, it helps us know about your truck if you put the pics in the post.  I'll do one for you, but if you just put your cursor on the links you sent above and copy the link address you can then click "Insert Image" and paste the link where the http is and chose "Big" and hit "Insert Image".

Paint looks great so far Eric!

I'm big fan of the 1987 F150 Flareside trucks! They're a bit unique in that 1987 was the first year of the "new" Bricknose body style, but it was the very last year for the old school Flareside bed. The 1987 fiberglass rear fenders are different from the 1980-1986 fenders and are specific to that year only.

Cool truck!
1994 F150 4x2 Flareside. 5.0 w/MAF, 4R70W, stock.
1984 F150 4X2 Flareside. Mild 302 w/ 5spd. Sold.
1980 F150 4X4 Flareside. 300i6 w/ 5spd. Sold in 2021.
1980 F100 4X2 Flareside. 351w/2bbl w/NP435. Sold in 1995
