81 F250 4x4 - Michael

harwood1994

Hello Everyone,

My name is Michael. I am in Richmond, VA.

Picked up this '81 F250 from a guy whose HOA told him he had to many vehicles.

It's 4x4 with a 4 speed granny gear.

Used to push snow, but unfortunately didn't come with the blade. Good part about it pushing snow is that the frame had undercoating applied frequently and is as rust free as they come.

So far I have done the following:

Upgrading carb to Motocraft 2150

Replaced intake and exhaust manifolds.

We replaced gaskets on the engine to stop the leaking.

New clutch and radiator.

The thing has 71,000 Orginal miles on it (carfax seemed to back this up). That being said it spent a lot of time idling pushing all the snow that it did.

Later this week I am going to see about getting floor plans replaced and get some new paint on it.

So far I am loving this truck. It has been a joy to get it running.
Looking forward to keeping ya'll updated!

Michael - Welcome!  Your truck looks quite capable.

What engine does it have?

I hope you'll start a thread in the main section to tell us more about your truck and to keep track of what you do to it.

By the way, we have a member's map (Bullnose Forum/Member's Map in the menu).  Would you like to be on it?

Sorry, forgot to mention it. 300 inline 6.

I would be fine with being on the map. I can definitely start a thread with that info.

I will work on that later this week.

You are now on the map.  And please don't forget to create a signature that tells us about your truck.  Plus, a lot of the guys are adding their first/given name to their signature.  Helps us call each other by name and be more personal.
