351W insert bearings

Butch
85 F150 first experience with a Bullnose, have had several slicks and a few bumps and dents. Can the oil pan be pulled on a Bullnose with the motor in the truck? It has a slight knock and I want to inspect the rod bearings.

Depends on the engine. A 460 would be very difficult, if not impossible. A 302 just difficult. Not sure about a 300 six. You have to raise the front of the engine significantly to get the pan off, and taller engines make that more difficult.

The six can be done, but not easily.
