The sending unit themselves are mounted on the opposite side and swing in the other direction that's why it's upside down if you put it on a carbed sender if it's on the efi sender it swing the right way to read right there the same ohm
My trucks are a 1985 f150 with a 300 6 4 wheel drive   I also have an 84 f150 with a 351w not really working on that one right now mostly the 85

I'm sorry, you are very wrong.

A Bullnose trucks sender and gauge read 70-10 ohms.
A Bricknose (or later) truck reads 16- 160 ohms.

I don't know who told you that, but they are full of *

Lil'Red is a '87 F250 HD, 4.10's, 1356 4x4, Zf-5, 3G, PMGR, Saginaw PS, desmogged with a Holley 80508 and Performer intake.
Too much other stuff to mention.
