1984 Ford F-350 XLT Crew Cab on BAT No Reserve

Rembrant
Big old single wheel 350 on BAT on a No Reserve auction.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1984-ford-f350-quad-cab/

I was looking at the interior and thinking how nice it looked and how clean it was, and noticed the funky steering wheel pad...weren't you guys talking about these a few days ago?

And I was looking at the shiny headlight and wiper knobs and saying to myself they don't belong there....but they DO belong there, it's the bezels that are not correct...lol.

And don't even get me started on those hubcaps! I think a nice set of wheels and tires would do a lot for the curb appeal of this truck.

Very nice!

And you are right, the instrument/radio/horn bezels have been replaced, and the horn bezel if from a van.

But what's with the red ignition coil?  Obviously aftermarket, and I hope it isn't one of those "hot" coils that will kill the DS-II box.

Overall, a very nice looking truck.  But the hub caps are awful.  However, I saw a truck with red wheels the other day, and these are much less hideous than those.

XLT-Crew Cab......I don't remember a CC-XLT option. Beautiful truck. Looks like a number items are trying to be posed as factory original options that just were not available for this truck brand new. Very nice looking though. Shame it isn't a 4WD unit, then the bidding would be stronger.

Well spotted.  According to our new 1984 F-Series brochure, crew cabs were only available in standard and XL trim.  Not XLT.
