1981 argent painted grille

I am looking for a paint code (or colour match) for the E0TZ-8150-A painted (no chrome) grille, I think it is dark argent and is darker than the '83 up painted grille. Long story short, I bought a NOS grille and it arrived broken worse than the one I have. I think my best option now it to buy the raw repro grille from Carpenter (that I can get locally) and paint it.

Brad - Ford's master parts catalog doesn't show an E0TZ 8150-A. The options are shown here: Exterior/Exterior Trim And Moulding and on the Grilles, Moulding, & Headlight Doors tab.

But, Ron/reamer says he found the right PPG paint code for the argent, as explained in this thread. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info Gary, it would be the E1TZ 8150 A. For some reason E0 searches better on the google. The grille is dark argent, quite a bit darker than what Ron was matching. I am going to try getting a color match done but I don’t think there is a flat surface large enough for the machine to work.

Let us know what you find. I can't find a "dark argent" paint in the catalog.
