1980 styleside tailgate?

It's getting close to time to repaint my truck, but before I do I need to get a nice straight tailgate. Anyone got a line on a good tailgate for an '80 F-150 with the standard/styleside bed?

I've heard the later 7th gen tailgates ('83?-'86) can be adapted to work with the metal straps used on the early ones like mine - if true, I'd be willing to go with one of those. But definitely nothing outside the '80-'86 range, thanks.

This is NOS and expensive. I do not know if applicable, but does list an E0TZ [1980] number?

The NOS one says E5 on the box, so it is the later 'gate, but can be used on an earlier truck as explained here (Exterior/Bed and Tailgates) on the Tailgates tab and then the Changing Tailgates tab.

I saw that first one the other day when I looked, but from the picture it's an 87+ tailgate, not an 80-86.

The NOS one is a little rich for my tastes, but that second one looks REALLY good. Someone tell me why I shouldn't buy it right now?

I couldn't come up with a reason not to either...so after sleeping on it, I've purchased it. May the eBay gods be kind to me.
